Islington Mews House
This small mews house had been let for 20 years. The owner approached me to renovate and sell the property for him.
Staying with the original floorplan I removed two walls to open up the downstairs and configured the bedrooms to make more use of the space.
The poured concrete floor not only is practical and hardwearing but gives a feeling of modernity.
I then installed bifold doors out into the garden and levelled the floors so the in-side/outside space was fluid.
The garden was decked vertically and bamboo, black bamboo and box planting will ensure low maintenance for the future owner.
Installing a one wall kitchen enabled the living space to be large and flexible for future purchaser to furnish as best suits his/her lifestyle.
Using colour sparingly I concentrated on installing a dramatic bathroom to give some contrast to the white gallery walls.
The total renovation took 3 months and the house was sold within 6 weeks.
